In the words of legendary TED speaker Brené Brown, “vulnerability is the courage to show up when you can’t control the outcome.” At TEDxLondonWomen 2019, our speakers chose courage over comfort, showing up to share their ideas without knowing what would happen once these ideas went out into the world. We saw their courage and vulnerability inspire us all to be brave in our own lives; to take chances, change our attitudes, or, perhaps, even to try out some of the day’s bold ideas in our own lives and communities.

This event sought to start a movement of ideas that nurture hope, positivity and resilience. TEDxLondon believes this starts by creating a space that reflects how we want our world to be: based on equality, respect and knowledge.
