Julia is a criminal psychologist who applies social science to societal issues. In her book Green Crime: Inside the minds of the people destroying the planet and how to stop them, she profiles the perpetrators of six of the biggest environmental crimes of our time, using insider interviews with the investigators who cracked each case. She proposes that instead of writing the perpetrators of environmental crimes off as greedy fatcats, that their minds are more understandable, and often more relatable, than they first appear.
Outside of work, Julia loves reading science fiction with her cat Luna on her lap, dreaming of how the world could be, rather than just how it is.
