Tinuke and Clotilde are pioneering advocates for Black maternal health and well-being in the UK. They co-founded Five X More CIC, an organisation that campaigns for improved health outcomes for Black mothers. Five X More was inspired by research that revealed that Black women were five times more likely to die during pregnancy and childbirth compared to white women in the UK. Since they started their work, this disparity has now slightly improved, but still sees Black women facing four times the risk as white women.

Tinuke is also the founder of Mums & Tea, a social platform connecting Black mothers. Her work is deeply rooted in enhancing the experiences and outcomes for Black mothers and children. Tinuke is a busy parent who loves food and spending time with family and friends. She has an autistic son and is very passionate about raising awareness of autism in the Black community.

Clotilde is also the Founder and Former CEO of Prosperitys, an award-winning community organisation born from her personal experience with mental health challenges during pregnancy. As a former Expert by Experience for NHSE/I, Clotide played a crucial role in shaping the Independent Senior Advocate role which was an Immediate and Essential Action identified following the Ockenden report, a review into maternity care. Outside of work, Clotilde can be found brunching with friends, indulging in solo spa days, and finding joy in Pilates. She is also a proud mum of two, balancing football games and family time.
