PROFESSOR KEITH MAGEE
Presidential adviser, author and theologian (he/him)
Keith is a public intellectual whose career spans over three decades in public policy, public affairs and public theology – all leading to social justice. He is Visiting Professor in Cultural Justice at UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose, a Fellow at its Centre on U.S. Politics, along with being Chair and Professor of Practice in Social Justice at Newcastle University.
He has served as Senior Religious Affairs Advisor with the Obama for America campaigns and Biden-Harris campaign, along with other federal, state and local elected officials.
The Biden-Harris Administration’s US Ambassador to the Court of St James’s has appointed him to the U.S. – U.K. Fulbright Commission. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Endowment Committee on the board of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and Commissioner on Diversity in the Public Realm for Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. He is a CNN, NBC and LSE American Politics and Policy contributor on issues of social justice, politics, race, and religion. He is the author of Prophetic Justice: Essays and Reflections on Race, Religion, and Politics (2021).
Keith is also committed to being fully available to his 7 year old son – they enjoy swimming, bike riding and tennis together.
