Abhishek Parajuli is a PhD student at Nuffield College, University of Oxford studying how minorities are often punished more harshly for mistakes. He completed an MPhil in Comparative Government, also from Nuffield, and a BA in American Politics from Dartmouth College where he graduated as the class valedictorian in 2015.
Before starting his PhD, Abhi had a brief stint in journalism. He worked as a Peter Martin Fellow and Editorial Writer at the Financial Times and his writing has also appeared in the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, The Times of India and the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. Abhi loves TED talks and spoke about making foreign aid more effective at TEDxOxford in 2017. When not studying, Abhi can found watching theatre, thinking about airplanes and cooking great Nepali food.
