TEDx have teamed up with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to mark the 10th Anniversary of the eight Millennium Development Goals.

TEDxLondon The Future We Make, the official satellite event to TEDxChange New York, will be exploring global issues such as poverty, child mortality and disease with some of the UK’s top thinkers, scientists and innovators.

Convened by Melinda French Gates and featuring talks by some of the world’s most inspired thinkers and doers, TEDxChange will look at what changes have taken place in the last decade, and what more needs to be done to ensure the health and well-being of future generations.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
