Hannah’s day job is as Associate Director of Social Media for a digital marketing agency. Every day, she’s working with her team to provide relevant insight and deliver the best social strategies and campaigns for clients. She has a big passion for social media monitoring and her favourite social media channel is Twitter.
In her spare time, Hannah likes to watch whatever boxset everyone is talking about and loves to travel the world and see new sights (or lie by the beach). She’s also paparazzi to her cat, Sparkle, who has a ridiculous number of Instagram followers.
Danielle is the Head of Volunteering at TEDxLondon, working to recruit, co-ordinate and support the volunteer workforce that is the beating heart of TEDxLondon. Her love of all things TED includes twice curating TEDxMiltonKeynes and attending TEDx events in London, Boston and Toronto.
In her day job, Danielle is a fundraising professional with over 15 years experience of working with individuals, businesses and charitable foundations. She is Head of Philanthropy at UnLtd where she is leading an ambitious programme of development and growth enabling the organisation to reach out and unleash the energies of more enterprising people who do good.
Originally from Canada, Danielle has called the UK home for over 15 years. However her favourite past times still include ice hockey, baseball and eating poutine.
Passionate about HR and TEDx events, Adelaida joined the TEDxLondon team in 2017. She has a background in Events Management and Human Resources and was previously involved in TEDxSquareMile and TEDxBucharest.”
Juwon is a project manager for a global investment bank. He was previously a consultant within the banking sector, helping clients implement global transformation programmes.
He’s an avid TEDxer, having previously been part of the organising team of TEDxSquareMile in 2013 & 2014. In addition he’s a mentor and brand ambassador.
Juwon is passionate about using his knowledge and experience to bring change to his community.
Natalie joined the TEDxLondon team in 2017. As an events consultant she advises a range of companies and sectors on how to use event formats to bring their brands to life. Her experience includes 10+ years delivering high profile consumer events and B2B engagements for Guardian News and Media and other media organisations (events including Cannes Festival, X Factor Live Final, Glastonbury and the Guardian Open Weekend). She has previously project managed two large scale TEDx events in London (TEDxObserver) which was a nationwide programme with 10 events across the UK and one in New York.
Tom is Director and Licence holder for TEDxLondon. His TEDx journey started back in 2012 when he founded TEDxHousesofParliament, which went on to stage 3 main TEDx events. In 2015 he took on the TEDxLondon licence and with a brilliant new team, staged two events in 2016, a main event and a Salon, both at the Science Museum. Looking forward to 2017, Tom’s aim is to grow the TEDxLondon event series to fulfil its potential to be truly world class and to feature many more brilliant and inspiring speakers.
Tom’s day job is working as the Director of Learning for the Science Museum Group, where he leads a national programme across 4 museums to inspire future generations and ignite curiosity in Science. Prior to this he was Head of Learning and Engagement at the Houses of Parliament for 7 years and Head of Online and Education at The National Archives for 10 years. His first real job before all that was as a teacher in a secondary school.
With over a decade of creating unparalleled customer experiences, forming valuable partnerships with brands like British Airways, American Express, Coutts, Universal Studios and Vogue along with shaping loyalty programs for customers of the world’s leading retailer – Harrods, Tatiana brings a magnitude of expertise of customer development, retention and engagement. Tatiana is a TED enthusiast and is part of TEDxLondon Partnerships Team
Piarvé Wetshi is an international events producer; her profession involves her overseeing financial conferences held in European countries and the US, where she is involved in idea initiation to execution. In addition she works on projects across the museum and heritage sector in London, producing and facilitating workshops and interactive events with venues including the V&A museum; the Southbank Centre and the National Gallery to name but a few. She is passionate about creating educational events combined with an interactive experience.
Having started her career in marketing and sales in Sydney, Australia, Melissa now works for high profile financial personnel in the City. She delivers comprehensive international travel programmes, with bespoke itineraries. Her experience means that she is well versed in co-ordinating for major international events such as G20, G7, Davos.
Her deep-rooted interest in socio-political and cultural speaking has led her to work at TEDx this year. Melissa welcomes conversation and proposals for new events to become involved with.
Jessica joined the TEDxLondon team in January 2016. She co-curated the June 2016 event on “Ingenuity” and a Salon on “The End of Ageing” in November 2016. She has a background in the
history of medicine, science and technology and is the Collection Engagement Manager at the Science Museum, London.
Jerry currently combines the inventive energy and enthusiasm of others who aspire to commercial success, with the experience of someone who’s been there, done that. Spending most of his time mentoring start-ups and investing in exciting information management businesses.
Prior to this Jerry followed a series of ventures involved with search engines and online publishing including founding his own company ‘2nd Byte’, which he sold to one of several multi-nationals competing to buy it. He also invented TrackBack, which allowed car manufacturers to track their dealers’ phone calls and emails. Today it’s being used in over 30 countries by companies like General Motors, Fiat, Mercedes, Suzuki, Peugeot-Citroen, VWG and Ford.
Jack is a doctor, technology entrepreneur, speaker and life science and medicine futurist. Jack trained at UCL in Medicine and Physiology, and after practicing in Emergency Medicine and High Altitude Physiology, he founded of CHHP, The Centre for Health and Human Performance in London, renowned for its work with elite athletes and applying sport science to help the sickest and most unlikely individuals succeed in extraordinary challenges including all the Sport Relief charity challenges. Alongside CHHP Jack has founded and funded several innovative medical technology ventures in the UK and California aiming bringing Artificial Intelligence into medical practice to help doctors and patients make better, earlier decisions together.
Jack serves as Faculty for Singularity University’s Exponential Medicine, Barts X Medicine, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and as guest curator for WIRED Health, Founders Forum, The Science Museum and TEDx events and has presented to international audiences and on TV including BBC, CNBC, Channel 4, many of the largest global healthcare organisations.
From Jack’s passion for bringing theatre to public engagement in 2016 Jack cofounded Weird and Wonderful, a public engagement initiative created to close the knowledge gap in society by changing the way stories in science are told. Weird and Wonderful sponsor innovative productions including TEDx events and in 2017 Jack was appointed as Co-Organiser of TEDxLondon.
Amanda has worked in communications and PR for the last eight years, after graduating with a degree in English Language and Literature. She cut her teeth in PR at Fishburn Hedges before moving into the charity sector, where she has worked for big brand names including Marie Curie Cancer Care, Dogs Trust, The Royal Horticultural Society and Muscular Dystrophy UK. She specialises in copy writing, social media strategy and delivering PR campaigns, and consults on an ad-hoc basis to small business and start-ups.
Outside of work, she is a keen traveller with month long stints backpacking across America, South East Asia, and most recently Australia and Indonesia.
