Burton Nitta, founded by Anglo-Japanese duo, Michael Burton and Michiko Nitta, is a transdisciplinary collaborative art practice. Their works visit a future inspired by technological and scientific developments that show us what evolutionary changes to us and our worlds could look like. Alongside the creation of artworks, Burton Nitta has a regular teaching position at Central Saint Martins.
For ‘Beyond You’, work created by students from the Burton Nitta unit will invite you to journey into the future to experience other versions of you. Step into the Institute of Transformation at the Citi xLab to try-on, taste, feel and experience a range of simulations that will show you other versions of yourself. You’ll be able to ‘try before you buy’ a range of approaches to transform you into a more sustainable human!
